The Beacon Players are proud to present “With Their Eyes~A Memory Play This September 11th marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
To honor this momentous occasion, we will perform “With Their Eyes,” a moving memory play accompanied by music. This production draws directly from the firsthand accounts of Stuyvesant High School students, whose school stood just blocks from Ground Zero on that fateful day in 2001.
Through their words, audiences will experience an evocative portrayal of the events and aftermath of September 11th, as well as its lasting impact on countless lives. The play comprises vivid personal reflections, expressed in short narratives and poetry. Enhanced by poignant musical pieces, the production showcases a blend of deep emotion and hope. Despite the heavy subject matter, the music lends an uplifting quality to the performance, embodying the passion The Beacon Players are known for.
In light of the profound significance of this event, there will be no admission fee for the performance. Instead, we will request a voluntary donation, the entirety of which will be directed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Our theater lobby will also pay tribute to this historic day. The design will emphasize unity, resilience, and how communities came together to heal and find strength in shared adversity. This space will be dedicated to celebrating the beauty and humanity that arose from such a challenging event.
